A busy family’s guide to New Year’s Resolutions

With a new year comes New Year resolutions and new goals for you and your family. New Year’s Resolutions don’t have to be stressful. Here are a few simple goals that you can make as a family that will add new and exciting ways to bond and make memories. Even the busiest families can use these New Year’s Resolution to make 2020 the most memorable yet.

Have Dinner Together

Between work, school, after school activities and more, dinner often comes as an afterthought for busy families. Make it a goal for you and your family to sit down at least three times a week. According to a study in 2000, eating together can even make you and your family healthier! The survey found that nine to 14-year-olds who ate dinner with their families most frequently consumed more fruits and vegetables and less soda and fried foods. Take the time to decompress and enjoy each other’s company as you talk about your day

Exercise Together

Exercising more is on the top of a lot of New Year’s Resolutions but finding time to exercise is not easy. Include the family! Plan a fun bike ride to a new park or take a walk with the dog after dinner. Even if it’s just thirty minutes a day, spending time exercising as a family is it a great way to decompress together.

Make Time for Fun

Taking time to relax and have fun is important for every family. Check out a new spot in Daytona Beach or visit your go-to spot. Daytona Lagoon makes it easy to bring the entire family for fun.
